The Door County Environmental Council presented a public overview of the New Shoreland Zoning Ordinances on May 31, 2017 at the Sister Bay Fire Station as Door County Planning Department Director, Mariah Goode, explained how local control over our shoreline has been lost to state control with Act 170 and Act 55. She also informed us of the newest changes being handed down from the state. Mariah will also discuss how this affects shore property owners, the public, our environment, and what this means to our local control over zoning now and in the future.
