15th Annual DCEC Essay Contest Winners


The DCEC recently invited all Door County students to express themselves in writing and researching the topic,
"Sources of Pollution of Surface and Groundwater in Door County and Solutions to the Problem." Each year the DCEC hosts an essay competition as a means to promote greater knowledge of science and biology as it applies to our local environment. Last year over 150 students entered the annual contest, which asked them to consider "The Importance of Wetlands in Door County".

Cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 were awarded to the following writers of the winning entries in two eligible age categories, High School 9-12 and upper grades 5-8.
