The Door County Environmental Council's annual essay Contest this year asked all Door County students in grades 5 through 12 to consider "The Importance of Wetlands in Door County".
The results are superb, and everyone is a winner with more than 150 entries submitted.

Public, private and home-school teachers used the essay composition as an exercise in language arts or as a means to promote greater knowledge of science and biology. In either case, it has proven to be a very worthwhile project and now the DCEC wishes to share the results and the honors.
